Really lovely building, clean rooms with lots of space. Staff were really helpful and the tours offered were brilliant!

The food was delicious (especially the carbonara) and very prompt service. The location was good too and even though there was a bar it wasn't too loud for us but we were high up.

I contacted the hostel through email and by phone to make sure we could check in in the early hours of the morning. Neither times was I informed that the room I booked wasn't available. When we arrived we waited around for a staff member and didn't realise he was behind us sleeping on the couch. He then informed us the room we booked wasn't available for the first night and we ended up in a dorm with a broken air con and a dirty ear bud on a dirty shelf when we booked a private twin room. The difference was only refunded because we insisted we should get it due to it being their error.

Superb

After arriving at 4am with a night bus from Ninh binh we could check in so early and sleep the rest of the night for free! (of course we did not get breakfast for that day for free, but that's totally fine!) Free coffee AND tea included in breakfast (as much as you want from 7 to 9am) with fresh milk and not that condensed stuff.. :) Sitting in the common room was like sitting in a perfectly designed café! Very very comfortable! The bathroom and the beds were very clean :) Very friendly staff!

It was smelling pretty bad in the room.. We tried to ventilate to get rid of the smell. Some mold at the walls. That's okay for a few days. Mattresses were quite hard, but that could be an subjective feeling! No curtains around bed
